The BBR Sportive Sports Bar at Jolly Harbour is looking at becoming one of the major activity hubs on the island.
The establishment in association with World Class Entertainment will now host a monthly swimming pool party to coincide with the full moon (during each month). The first of such parties will be held on 14 Sept.
DJ Charlie, DJ Gravity, DJ Floss and DJ Jay will be on hand to provide the sultry moonlight music.
PR and Marketing Executive Colin Richards said BBR would be buzzing with activities from now on.
He stated BBR will be hosting activities suited for all ages.
On the last Friday of every month, Richards said an event dubbed “Cavalier Rum Mature Party” will be staged.
That event based on its name is catering for people 35 and over, the more grown up audiences.
Richards said “vintage calypso and vintage reggae will be played, which is geared for a more mature audience.”
Entertainment will be provided by DJ John along with other special guest performers…local vintage artistes as Richards puts it.
“It’s a time for couples to come out and really enjoy the music. It is $15 for singles and couples will pay $25.
“They (patrons) can dance or have dinner (not included in the entrance charge) and just have a good time.”
On regular days Monday to Sunday, the calendar is jam-packed with activities as well.
There will be a barbeque and steel band and bingo night.
Richards said there is also a night dedicated to local talents “Talent Night”, where people can come out and recite poetry, dance and sing and win cash prizes.
People will have an opportunity to win recording contracts as well.
“We are just asking locals to come out and show of their talent…and partake in all the activities.”
