Kumia Lee - Modelling Career

Kumia first got into modeling at the age of 9. Well known artist and make up artist Nick Maley discovered her. He has done a few paintings of her. Ever since she was a toddler she always wanted to be in front of the camera so it is no surprise that she has turned into a model. Kumia has over 20 years experience in modeling she did a lot of fashion shows for a well known fashion show organizer Bertram Samuel at that time she was young and very naive about the industry but Kumia had the support of her family and friends and she got away from all the negative energy that was surrounding her so she took a break and regrouped. At age 16 I was doing a lot of shows at hotels, restaurants and clubs which gave me the experience I have today.

In 1999 she did a fashion show for well known fashion designer Deshaun through Trinidad and Tobago model agency MIM which really gave her her break at that point Kumia was traveling to a St.kitts, St Martin, Barbados, Martinique, Montserrat just to name a few. In 2005 she made the decision to move to Florida to pursue her modeling career. In September of 2005 Kumia went for an audition for Natural Trend Setters and made the cut ever since then she has been getting a lot of offers for fashion shows I am now focusing on making it big time.

Kumias experience comes from the hundreds of fashion shows she has done from back home in antigua. Kumia came to south florida to pursue her dream as a model.
